Who is responsible for your information?
Keith McIntyre, trading as Truly Madly Digital, is the controller of personal information collected through this website. I am a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, please use the contact form. Please state that your request concerns privacy or personal data so I can deal with it promptly.
Information I collect and why
| When | Information | Why and legal basis | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| When you contact me | Your name, email address, message, service interest and any company or phone details you choose to provide. | To respond to your enquiry and consider providing the services you have requested. This is based on my legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries. | Up to 6 months after the last meaningful contact, unless we start working together or a longer period is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. |
| When you use the site | Limited technical information that web servers normally process, such as IP address, browser, pages requested and date/time. | To deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website. This is based on my legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working properly. | In line with the website host’s standard log-retention period. |
| If you accept analytics | Online identifiers and usage information, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser and how you arrived at the site. | To understand how the site is used and improve it. This is based on your consent. | Google Analytics data is set to be retained for 14 months. |
I do not ask for special-category information through this site. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in a general enquiry unless it is necessary.
Who receives your information?
I do not sell your information or use it to send marketing emails. I use suppliers that help run the site and receive enquiries, including the website hosting provider, email provider and Google Analytics (only if you consent). They process information only as needed to provide their services or as otherwise required by law.
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, where required.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of information stored on, or accessed from, your device. The site uses the following:
| Technology | Purpose | Duration | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID cookie | Created only when the contact form CAPTCHA is opened. It allows the CAPTCHA answer to be checked and helps protect the form from automated spam. | Browser session | Strictly necessary for the requested form security. |
tmd-analytics-consent local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the site can respect your choice. | Until you change the choice or clear browser storage | Strictly necessary to record and apply your preference. |
tmd-contact-form-draft session storage | Temporarily preserves form fields after a submission attempt, so you do not have to retype them if there is an error. | Until the browser session ends or a successful submission clears it | Used only after you submit the form. |
_ga and _ga_* cookies | Google Analytics 4 measurement cookies. | Up to 2 years | Optional. Set only after you accept analytics. |
You can change your analytics choice at any time using on a main site page, or clear browser cookies/storage. Refusing analytics does not affect the site’s core features.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw analytics consent at any time. I do not make decisions about you solely by automated means.
Please contact me using the form above to make a request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the site or how I use information changes. The date at the top of this page will show when it was last updated.
